Note:
According to the current PSX guidelines, the ex-date is set by counting two working days before the book closure start date. In other words, the ex-date falls on BC minus 2 working days. The final day for spot trading is BC minus 3 working days.

Why Book Closure Matters

Book closure dates help investors understand eligibility for corporate actions. Buying shares after the ex-date usually makes the investor ineligible for dividends or bonuses.
